Building Bridges — ELSA UK’s 31st National Council Meeting (NCM) will be hosted in Newcastle! A great networking opportunity, NCM’s boast impressive and diverse turnouts of 60-100 national and international ELSA members annually. The weekend will consist of administrative meetings to advance the agenda of ELSA groups within the UK, role-specific workshops to enhance your skills and social events for networking purposes. The current rough schedule includes:

Friday

Registration & Opening Plenary (14:00 - 17:00) — The Boiler House, Newcastle University.

Group Dinner (20:00 - 23:00) — This will be hosted at the Pitcher and Piano, Quayside. The dress code is black tie. The dinner will include a three-course meal, with vegan and vegetarian options available upon request. A complimentary glass of prosecco will be provided upon entry, and a bottle of wine will be provided per table. Registrations close on November 8 23:59 BST

Social (23:00 - Late) — The night begins carries on at Koda by The Grey’s Club, featuring five rooms, each with their own theme (House, Tech, UKG, Speed, Garage, Disco, Indie, and RNB). Tickets to be bought separately using discount code given by ELSA NCL. 4 pound entry fee.

Saturday

Workshops (11:00 - 16:00) — Henry Daysh Building, Newcastle University (Committee members will be stationed at the Claremont Road entrance for any required assistance).

Themed Pub Crawl (19:00 - 23:00) — Participants will be allocated a team to complete tasks throughout the night. The night will continue at a club to be announced at a later date. £15 per ticket.

Sunday

Closing Plenary (10:00 - 15:00) — The Boiler House, Newcastle University.
