We are delighted to announce the publication of our ELSA Delegations Booklet, a comprehensive resource created specifically for ELSA UK Members. This booklet aims to provide detailed information, advice, and tips regarding one of ELSA’s most prestigious and flagship projects: ELSA Delegations.

ELSA Delegations offer members a unique chance to experience international decision-making, in institutions around the world such as; The World Intellectual Property Organisation in Geneva or the United Nations Economic and Social Council in New York. As delegates, you act as spokespeople for ELSA’s vision: “A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity,” representing the organisation's values on the international stage.

Within the booklet, you will find vital guidance on:

  • Registration and Required Documents.

  • Practical Information for delegates from ELSA UK, including funding options, currency conversion, and visa requirements for common locations like the Schengen Area and the USA.

  • Tips from former ELSA Delegates on academic preparation, networking, and balancing university work alongside the delegation.

  • Maintaining ELSA’s "Independent and Non-Political" status while engaging in international discourse.

  • Guidance on using the experience on platforms like LinkedIn and in job/internship applications.

ELSA UK consistently maintains one of the highest numbers of applicants to ELSA Delegations among all National Groups, with a relatively high appointment rate. We strive to encourage as many members as possible to attend and maintain this high quality of applications.

We encourage all ELSA UK members to read this Booklet and apply to be an ELSA Delegate!
